Today I drilled holes in rear bulkhead to attach the ELT buzzer. Also working on ELT wiring. If I want ELT to have GPS input, I need to get serial data input from Dynon EFIS cable. Unfortunately my 37 pin fast stack cable goes from EFIS to Hub and there is no way to get output from this cable. Called Approach Fast Stack folks and they advised me that if I want serial output then I would need a different configuration connector. Since every plane has to have ELT, I would have thought this would be the standard. But I was informed that you dont have to connect GPS to your ELT as this is optionsl. However connecting your GPS to the ELT does give a better location so the search and rescue folks should be able to find you sooner. Who would not want to be found as soon as possible. Oh well, for $59 I am getting another configuration connector. Decided to attach passenger stick grip to test fit and see how it looks. Everything worked as advertised. Still need to hook up pilots grip and run wiring down under pilots seat where I will make all the wiring connections for trim.
