Brief Description:  Side Rails drilled and clecoed

With the front canopy cut down to fit and clecoed to the rear tube, I marked the location for the holes to be drilled thru the canopy and into the side rails. The side rails already had been predrilled to 1/8". I taped down the canopy to the fuselage sides and used a 3/32" drill bit in my cordless drill to make small indentations in the canopy to mark where to drill the 1/8" holes. This sounds easy but actually getting the holes in the canopy to correctly line up with the holes in the side rails takes some patience. After I drilled out the canopy holes, I clecoed everything and so far so good! I opened up the canopy and I was surprised at how much it moves around at the rear of the canopy. I am hoping this will all go away once I install the front canopy tube and attach it to the side rails. Still trying to figuire out best way to cut the angle on the bottom of the tube rail for the side rail. Time permitting, I will tackle this tomorrow.
