Brief Description:  Drilled Rear Canopy to tube frame

Removed rear canopy from fuselage and sanded all cut edges in 3 phases with 80, 120 and 220 grit sand paper. This is to reduce the possibility of stress fractures in the canopy. Once the sanding was complete, I put canopy back into position and drilled the canopy and the rear tube frame. I used a 1/8" plastic drill bit and drilled through the canaopy and into the tube frame and clecoed. Next step will be to drill rear tube frame into rollover bar for A5 stainless steel rivets. I will also remove canopy and enlarge existing 1/8" holes to 3/16" for washers and screws. Once everything is drilled to size, I will cover rear tube with black sink tubing . Prior to final installation, I plan on painting baggage area.
