I decided today I woiuld work on the canopy since I still had the parts laid out from when I did my parts inventory. I mounted the side panels and the frame rails. Both frame rails had to be slightly bent to fit. Also I called Roger to discuss my rear canopy frame tubes because they did not match the plans. His advise was to install them and see how the canopy fits. So I will give that a try when it is time. If they dont fit then he will send me some more. Just for information, my canopy kit came with the canopy cut in half and with 60 # gas springs. This should be an improvement over what was being supplied earlier. The photo guide is fairly new for the 650 canopy but it still could be improved. The plans are ok but they could be updated as well. I had to call Roger to verify where the mounted bracket for the gas spring rod is located. There are no dimensions or pictures that call out this information. Roger advised that the rear of the mounting bracket should be in line with the front of the instrument panel. That will be where I will begin on my next work day.
