Finally after a very long absence from working on my project (over a year), I have retired from my job and now my job will be to complete my project. When I last did any work, I was starting on the left aileron. Today I dusted it off, reviewed drawings and assembly guide as well as the updaed drawings and parts. I got everything drilled, deburred, corrosion protected and ready to rivet. The balance arm was the most time consuming making sure everything was correct. The aileron ribs and optional trim were fairly straightforward. Having already completed the trim install on the elevator made the aileron trim easier. Tomorrow I hope to get left aileron riveted and start on the right aileron which shouild go faster since there will be no trim to deal with and I have already completed the balance arm.
