While I have the wings in the wing stand, I figured this was the perfect time to polish the underside. I can't imagine lying on my back underneath the installed wings to perform the same task. Since this part of the wing will never be seen by anyone but me and people 1,000 feet or more below me, I don't plan to shine this all the way to a mirror finish! Standard Nuvite II and a Makita orbital buffer (on the lowest setting) do the trick. It had been a while since i'd done some polishing. It was awkward at first, but I quickly got into a kind of zen flow and it became more efficient and effective.

Somewhat reflective after 1 pass - one or two more passes should do it.
