Brief Description:  Forward Rear Canopy Frame Fitting

Today was spent sizing, cutting, resizing, bending, resizing, and attaching the forward rear canopy frame. I started by temporarily reinstalling the baggage floor to make sure I wasn't inadvertently attaching the canopy to a fuselage that wasn't quite aligned correctly. Not to worry, everything fit back together like a glove.

Next, I permanently attached the aft rear frame to the top longeron via a small gusset. This ensures the aft frame remains in its precise position while I manuever the forward frame around on the movable side frames.

Then I measured the forward rear frame to determine where to cut off the ends and made about 4 trips between the airplane and workbench getting the length and curvature just right - to where it mirrors the aft rear frame.

Lastly, I attached the forward rear frame to the side rails via a pair of .09 aluminum brackets that also cleverly align the forward frame to the rear frame while closing the canopy. As best I can tell, everything is good to go.
