Prepared and installed the left and right bottom brackets for the canopy frame. The bottom brackets have a steel pin on them that connects the longeron (where the backet is attached) to the canopy frame via a gas spring which holds the canopy open. The preparation was to drill 8 pilot holes through the steel bottom brackets where rivets will eventually go, transfer the bracket to the upper longeron and drill through the pilot holes into the longerons. All-in-all a straightforward task.
I also took some time to make a cut out in the secondary aileron control stop which is back by the rear bearing of the control torque tube. The secondary aileron control stop is an add-on to the original Zodiac design, and one of the flanges in the structure will interfere with the right rudder cable unless it's trimmed. So I dremeled out a small channel in the flange to give the rudder cable a few millimeters of space from it.
