Began work on final prep for final installation of the baggage floor. I've been putting this off since last March when I initially fit and drilled out the baggage floor as I will lose easy access to the area underneath it once it becomes permanent. No worries, I finished most of what I want done underneath it in the intervening months. Here's what I did:
- Deburred, filed, sanded and corrosion control painted the large floor skin. - Added 4 removable attach points for bungee net anchors. - Deburred, filed, sanded and corrosion control painted the Z-angle that helps support the aft half of the baggage floor - Deburred, filed, sanded and painted the two L-angles that attach the baggage floor to the sides of the center seat back channel. - Vacuumed out the inside of the fuselage really well one last time before it becomes more of a hassle!
Tomorrow is RIVET DAY!
Baggage floor all fully assembled for final riveting.
Nice to see it all still fits together after 3.5 months of storage.
