Brief Description: Right Aileron Control Cable Safety-Wired
Began the turnbuckle safety-wiring process with the right aileron control cable. First I confirmed the cable tension one last time. Next, I safety-wired the right aileron turnbuckle using a single wrap method due to the inaccessibility of the turnbuckle tucked up under the secondary aileron control stop. The whole job is accomplished one-handed due to the distance from the belly access point to the aileron torque tube. Undesired turnbuckle rotation was prevented by wedging a screwdriver through the cable thimble. After completing the wiring, I confirmed the tension was still acceptable.
The whole process took well over an hour to accomplish the one safety wire. I'm glad that one is finished ... only 2 more to go.
