Brief Description:  Right Aileron Stop Adjust

Went to work on the right aileron stop, which turned out to be a 2-day job. This was accomplished by removing the aireron by disconnecting the pushrod and removing the hinge pin. Although the balance rod on the outboard end of the aileron doesn't allow full removal, I was still able to pull the aileron away from the wing about 10" to gain access to the stop. I don't know how I would have done this without converting to hinged ailerons (the plans call for a single, continuous skin from the top of the wing onto the aileron).

I then removed the stop and reinstalled the aileron to see how much I would need to reduce the size of the stop. With that measurement, I was able to reshape the stop and reinstall it (after removing the aileron again, of course!) with the new spacing. One last reinstallation of the hinge, and a quick measurement with my digital angle finder put the angles right at spec.
