Brief Description: Aileron Balance Bar Hole, Wing Tank Install
Cut a hole in the rear channel that the aileron balance bar fits through.
Installed the right fuel tank which involved:
- Cutting a hole in the bottom of the leading edge skin for the fuel vent. - Cutting another hole in the bottom of the leading edge skin for the fuel drain. - Applying cork strips to the fuel tank along the welded edges of the tank for protection. - Cutting a hole in the top of the leading edge skin for the fuel filler.
While I generally don't look forward to tasks that make permanent holes in large, expensive parts, these tasks all went smoothly having done them previously on the left wing.
Right wing rear channel balance bar hole.
Right wing fuel tank resting in final position, with cork. The fuel filler hole is visible here too.
