Today I marked the right flap hinge for length, flap rib location, and 40mm spaced rivet holes. Using my handy 3-stack of spar doublers as a spacer, I taped the flap, doublers, and hinge into position then drilled out pilot holes for all the rivets. Once finished, I removed the flap, cut off the excess length, shortened the flap hinge pin, and drilled 1/16th inch holes near the ends of the hinge for safety wire.
Using three stacked spar doublers to raise the flap hinge up the necessary amount.
