Took care of a few minor tasks that have been piling up on me. These included:
- Adding a lock ring to the Zeus lock on the top cowl oil access door. The kit I received didn't have one and as long as the door was closed, it didn't fall off. Well that's fine until I can't fly someday because I can't find it. The fix is a simple one - and the same one I used on the wing locker zeus fasteners: A ring fashioned from milk jug plastic with a hole diameter slightly smaller than the fastener post. Works like a champ.
- Starting to test fit control cables to confirm length and to try out my new cable locks. I can't really do too much on the controls until I'm finished wiring in the aft fuselage, but this lays all the ground work for when the control cable task takes place.
- Cleaning up the antenna routing to the ELT.
Oil door zeus fastener with new milk jug locking ring.
Right rudder cable hooked to turnbuckle back at the rudder horn.
ELT antenna cable routed down from the top of the fuselage to the ELT on the floor.
