Brief Description:  Wing Kit Arrives

Yesterday I picked up the Wing Kit at a local shipping center - in a 565 pound crate! It took a good 90 minutes to unpack the crate and break it down enough that I could drag it off the U-Haul rental truck.

Now most everything is in its place. All of the Flap and Aileron-related parts as well as the smaller wing parts are in the basement shop. Right now all the skins (12 feet long), spars, and ribs are in the garage. This weekend I hope to get the skins moved down to the basement for storage.

Lastly, the base of the crate was so well built, I've decided to use it as the foundation for my garage workbench. It's already 12.5 feet long - with the addition of 12 x 4 feet of 3/4 inch plywood on top and some sturdy sawhorse legs, I'll be set!

First up: Flaps.
