Brief Description:  Brake Line Routing (cont'd 2)

Finished fitting the parking brake today. This involved trimming the brake lines from the toe pedals to the desired length. The current position of the parking break allows the brake lines to bend smoothly toward the aft without touching the firewall. With the current alignment, the passenger left rudder pedal rubs the brake lines, so I will clamp them to the center bolt of the rudder pedal bearing (green block with 3 bolts in it in Image 1) with an adel clamp.

I also trimmed the feed (blue) and return (silver) fuel lines and will use the other two rudder bearing bolts to secure them with Adel clamps. Lastly, I drilled out pilot holes for the parking brake mounting assembly to rivet it to the floor. Things look pretty busy between the two sets of rudder pedals, but I think I have this part of the challenge solved.

Next, I need to route the brake lines through the center spar, through the side of the fuselage, down the landing gear to their respective brakes. Then I'll work on the control lever.
