Brief Description: Canopy Side Cover Weatherproof Flanges
Fabricated and added 2 weatherproof flanges to seal the gap between the front of the canopy side covers and the forward top skin. I've read where other builders have fussed with this area to seal it off in a number of different ways. Add to that my generally unique method of attaching the forward top skin with nutplated screws (versus the permanent riveting per the plans) and I needed a different method to smooth out this mechanism.
So I fashioned two aluminum flanges that follow the line of the top skin (and even use two existing top skin attach screws for installation) to support a rubber seal that closes off the gap.
