Brief Description: Elevator Control Cables Safety-Wired
Lastly, I safety-wired the elevator turnbuckles. These are a little trickier than the rudder and I tweaked the tension to ensure desired stick positions (fore and aft) and full deflections could be simultaneously achieved. Once set in place, I performed a double-wrapped (spiral) safety wire technique to both turnbuckles.
Flight controls complete.
Upper elevator cable safetied.
Lower elevator cable (the upper one on the stick) safetied.
Rudder (lower) and elevator (upper) cables running aft out of the cockpit.
