Brief Description:  Static Port Test

Tested the static port of the pitot/static system. To do this, the pressure must be lowered in the line to check it for leaks. Using a technique offered up by the folks at Homebuilthelp, I cut the static hose near the ADAHRS and inserted a "T" pneumatic intersection. I then attached a rubber hose already connected to a syringe to the third hole in the "T" intersection. After plugging the holes in the static port out under the wing and setting the Dynon Skyview up for the test, I put a small amount of vacuum on the hose using the syringe (~1/2 inch), restarted the Skyview and noted the altitude - which remained stable for 5 minutes.
