After a couple more weeks of cold temperatures, I finally got back into the hangar to do some work. Today's tasks were:
1. Rivet canopy side covers in place. Made final adjustments to the fit, updrilled the pilot holes to 1/4" rivet size, debur, sand, and rivet in place.
2. Install spinner. I finally got some #8-32 machine screws for the spinner and installed it. Changes the profile of the airplane to a more aerodynamic look.
3. Install GoPro mount. Attached a Ram 1" ball, U-Bolt (bicycle handlebar) mount to the right canopy rollbar support. It was somewhat awkward to install and ended up kneeling backwards in the passenger seat to reach the support. With the Ram Double Socket Swivel Arm, I'll have a lot of flexibility in positioning the camera.
