Brief Description:  Fuel Connections Complete

Finished with all the fuel connections today. Today's task was to connect the feed and return lines from both the left and right wing tanks to the pass-through fittings in the cockpit. The task involved cutting the hoses to final length, fitting each hose onto its corresponding connector along the cockpit floor, then clamping the the fuel lines with Oetiker clamps. While the task sounds straightforward, it involved considerable gymnastics to achieve enought leverage to force the hose onto the pass-through fitting as well as for using the crimpers for the Oetiker clamps - think tip-toes, arms wrapped around the instrument panel, and limited lighting.

The good news is, once the fuel lines were in place, I poured about 4 gallons of 100LL into the left tank and checked for leaks from the tank to the engine. Everything was clean. Lastly, I checked to see if the fuel pump(s) could move the fuel from the tank (left only so far) to the fuel control. That seemed to work fine as the primary pump cuts off once fuel has reached the fuel control. Lastly, just to make sure it was working okay, I buttoned up the open access panels, drug the plane out of the hangar and cranked her up.
