Spent a couple of hours taking the wings down from the garage ceiling and putting them into the wing frame for transport to the airport hangar. I managed to do this by myself by having the (accidental) foresight to hang the wings using locking pulleys. The wing was hung from the ceiling using 4 independent pulleys that automatically lock unless you open a release mechanism. This made raising the wings a snap. It also allowed me to control the lowering too. So after a series of back and forth to the two ends of each wing on a ladder, I was able to lower each wing down to the level of the frame, then tip them up into the frame. Now I just have to figure out how to get them to the airport.
Early in the lowering process.
Near the end of the lowering process as it approaches wing frame height.
Thirty minutes later it's a simple flip off the rack and onto the wing stand.
