Brief Description:  Engine Ignition Switch Troubleshooting 2

After grinding my teeth and banging my head through a long Sunday night, about mid-day Monday I had a eureka moment at work. I dug back into the ULPower installation manual and back to the starter section. It turns out I misread the section for wiring the "starter button" and had this wire attached to the solenoid ground via ring terminal by mistake. The good news is via proper wiring practices, my Power Panel protected me from my stupidity and tripped a circuit breaker. In my (limited) defense, the illustration of the starter solenoid in the installation manual points out the "ignition button" connection tab with an arrow that also points to the solenoid grounding bolt - and both of them are in a different position in the drawing than they are in reality.

From there, it was a simple matter of:

1. Disconnecting the battery (we don't like working electrical connections in the vicinity of the propeller with it connected!).
2. Removing the nut from the solenoid grounding bolt to remove the starter button wire ring terminal.
3. Cutting the ring terminal off the starter button wire and replacing it with a female PIDG connector.
4. Removing, re-routing, and reattaching the 4AWG battery power wire from the solenoid since it was blocking (covering) the starter button connection (another reason I missed it before)
5. Attaching the starter wire to the ignition button blade post.
6. Reconnecting the battery.

Now when I turn the ignition key, the propeller turns over when I reach the "START" position ... and all the circuit breakers remain closed!
