Brief Description: Fuel Plumbing Through the Cabin 3
Continued work on fuel lines by attaching fuel hose platform to the cabin floor and cutting out a fuel hose pass-through on the left center console side panel.
Attaching the fuel hose platform to the cabin floor was straightforward. I decided to use 4 existing rivets to keep everything neat and efficient. So I rolled under the belly on my trusty garage creeper to drill out the 4 rivets I would be using for the attachment. When I hopped back up to clamp the fuel hose platform in place for drilling through the holes where the rivets had just been removed, I discovered I'd drilled out four rivets in front of the ones I wanted! So back under I went to re-rivet those 4 holes and drill out the correct 4 rivets. After that, securing the fuel hose platform was simple even if it did require a bunch of up-and-down between the belly and the cabin.
I then cut a notch out of the center console side panel (left) to allow the left side hoses to pass through to the selector. The hole turned out to be a little too tight so I will be filing that to a slightly larger size.
Last, I clamped the 8 hose sections to the 4 right-angle fittings using oetiker clamps and set up a test fit for the left side hoses.
