Brief Description:  Fuel Plumbing Through the Cabin 1

Started work on running the fuel lines into the cabin up to the fuel selector. The fuel selector is a 6-way, electrical device that controls the feed and return lines from both the left and the right fuel tanks. What's important about this selector is it ensures that unused "return" fuel is routed back to the same tank that is feeding. Since only a small fraction of the total fuel pumped to the engine actually gets burned (~30 gph is pumped through and the engine only burns ~7 gph max), returning the unused fuel to the tank that's not selected would result in rapid fuel transfers across tanks or worse, a situation where a tank is overfilled and fuel vents overboard.

Today I made plans for a fuel hose platform that serves multiple purposes.
- A secure point for fuel hoses before they connect to the selector.
- A means of organizing the 4 lines as they cross over/under one another to line up with the selector.
- A way to raise the hoses above the L-angles on the cabin floor used to secure the center console side panels - a noticeable sharp edge.

For step one today, I measured and cut the hoses to length. The feed lines are 3/8" inner diameter and the return lines are 1/4". I inserted 90-degree barbed fittings in each hose to eliminate the need for sharp bends to align each hose with the selector.
