After flying Friday, I dropped by the airport manager's office to pick up the key to my new hangar lock. The Hangars ar Manassas are reverting back to city ownership after 20+ years in private ownership. Hopefully this won't be a problem, but they have already told me they won't tolerate a long-term build in the hangar and I would have to get my airplane flying to keep it. With a 24+ month waiting list, I hope this doesn't become a hassle.
After picking up the key, I dropped off a tool bin, shelves, city-required special fire extinguisher (in addition to what they're required to provide) and a broom. I swept up the floor to begin the process of moving in and boy-howdy was it dusty in there. Now I'm shopping for a big dustpan, trash can, steel table (no wood furniture allowed in the hanger) long extension cord and a multi-plug power adapter.
Started moving into the hangar in earnest by sweeping it out and moving equipment in.
There was close to 1/8" of dust covering the entire floor. Will need to sweep again then vacuum.
