Brief Description: Control Stick Wiring and Sizing
The Tosten stick grip I chose is the model with a 4-way hat switch for trim and 4 additional buttons for whatever else. The folks at Tosten pre-wire the grip (for which I am thankful) and provide excellent wiring diagrams. While the grip comes with a 3-foot long wire bundle, I need ~4 feet of wire to connect to the various functions I'll be incorporating into the grip. So today I spliced in an additional 18" to each of the 10 wires coming out of the grip in preparation for final installation.
Since I removed the stick grip from the steel stick, I went ahead and cut an addtional 2" off the stick so that the grip is now at the appropriate height for my arm while it's resting on the center arm rest.
