Cut a hole through the firewall to accommodate a whole lot of wires I'll be running through there over the next few weeks. This hole was not some random cut, but instead is the culmination of several weeks of agonizing over where to place the grounding plate, and the ammeter shunt and where the wires will be routed on both sides of the firewall. I think the location I chose will work - time will tell if I decided correctly.
Close up of the new firewall penetration with the EGT and CHT sensor wires passing through.
Same view from further back. The ammeter shunt will be installed just outside the new hole.
