Continued with electrical wiring. One of the biggest holdbacks is having the appropriate tools and wiring terminals on hand. Yesterday I received a shipment that contained some of both. I finally invested in a good PIDG terminal crimper and I purchased an assortment of PIDG connectors and ring terminals. While I almost got everything I needed, I still am lacking a few specific terminals like an #8 AWG 5/15" ring terminal. They're on order now!
In the meantime, I went to work on those tasks I could do which included:
- Attaching terminals to the ends of the pre-cut wires I fabricated and labeled in my last session. - Installing the grounding block. - Installing the one wire where I had both terminals I needed for it (from Battery -12V to grounding block). - Attaching male end PIDG connectors to the EGT and CHT sensor probes.
All 16 EGT & CHT sensor wires with new terminals installed.
Ground wire from Battery to grounding block bolt in firewall.
Grounding block inside firewall with enough terminals for 24 grounds.
