Brief Description:  Avionics Shelf 2

I continued work on the avionics shelf by fine tuning the fit, then drilling through the shelf from below through the existing holes that hold the new angles in place. I also drilled up through the existing center console angles into the new shelf as well. I then removed the shelf, set 100mm pitch rivet lines on the edges, then re-attached the shelf and drilled out out the remaining rivet holes.

In order to allow wires to extend up through the center console into this avionics bay, I cut out a section of the shelf the width of the existing center console 80mm into the shelf. This opening will be mostly covered by the power panel on the instrument panel (switches and circuit breakers), but will leave ample room to run wires up into the bay. I plan to install edge trim around the inside of this opening to reduce wire chafe.
