Fabricated a couple of mounts to secure the brake lines to the aft edges of the main landing gear. To do this I purchased two 1-foot sections of aluminum tube with an inner diameter that was slightly larger than the 0.25" outer diameter of the brake lines. I then fashioned a couple of clips to secure the tube to the gear strut by: - Cutting four 60mm x 20mm .025 6016 T6 aluminum stripts out of a sheet - Curling the strips around the aluminum pipe using a table vise - Filing and sanding all sharp edes and corners from the curled strips - Filing and sanding all edges from the aluminum tubes - Attaching two strips to each tube, 25mm from each end using J.B. Weld epoxy - Threading the brake lines through the tubes and securing the ends to the brakes.
Left to-do: - Securing the brackets to the inboard side of the gear struts using 3M Scotch Mount Automobile molding tape.
One of the"curled" brackets before attaching to the tube.
Tube and brackets clamped together while epoxy cures.
Tube attached to right main gear with brake line running through it.
