Brief Description:  Cowl Paint and Oil Line Tightening

I've been out of the loop for the last two months due, primarily, to two separate 2-week trips to Taiwan! It's good to be back on the right time zone again.

Started painting the interior of the engine cowl today. The plan is to have the entire engine interior painted white to that oil/fluid leaks will be more apparent. I'm using a high heat Krylon paint which should stand the wear and tear of the engine. First coat on the bottom cowl is finished. It will require 1 or two more coats for full coverage.

I also performed a final installation on the oil lines running to/from the oil cooler. I had just loosely installed the lines after fabricating the hoses, but it turns out there was enough oil left in the oil sump to run into the oil cooler lines. Since they weren't attached to the oil cooler tightly, oil leaked out onto the garage floor. Today I removed the 2 lines, blew them clean (with compressed air), added EZ Turn to the male end attach points for the oil lines, then torqued the oil lines into position. No more leaks!
