Brief Description:  Begin Avionics Installation

Began today by cleaning up the old worktable I built in the basement where I built the tail section, flaps and ailerons a couple years ago. I also used it to trim the cowling and cut out the oil door, so it was a mess. Now it's not - it's all clean!

Began by unboxing all of the hardware and cables I purchased from Zenith. Basically, my instrument panel will consist of a Dynon Skyview 10" screen, Dynon VHF radio, Dynon intercom, Composite Design integrated power panel and a map box (aka glove compartment). Other items like throttles, air vents, trim indicators and the like will be added later.

With everything unboxed, I began positioning the black boxes and their associated wire bundles to make sure I understand what I have and to begin determining how I'm going to fit all of this "under the hood" of my forward top skin.

Excuse me now - I have a lot of reading to do!
