Brief Description:  Forward Top Skin to Instrument Panel

At one point I was unsure if I would be receiving a new instrument panel blank with my avionics purchase, but instead, I received a flat, pre-cut panel that serves as a template for the original blank and reinforces it when they're attached together. My 6/22/2014 entry in this log refers to this.

So now 1 year and 1 month later, I need to finish off the forward top skin by converting the pilot holes securing it to the instrument panel with nut plates. In short, I added 11 nut plates to the instrument panel using the same techniques as before (it all came back to me pretty quickly). When I finished off installing the nutplates, updrilling the top skin and dimpling the holes, I went ahead and reinstalled the forward top skin which sets the foundation for fitting the cowling.
