Brief Description:  Baffles Fitting

Performed the initial fitting of the baffles. The baffles are two aluminum "boxes" which attach to the tops of the engine cylinders and channel cooling air across the cooling fins on the cylinders after it enters through the front of the engine cowling.

Today's fitting was simplified by Zenith's custom cut baffles designed to perfectly match the top of the UL350iS engine (a rather complex pattern across pipes, ducts, and wire housings). The top of the baffles are over-sized, so I had to apply the Zenith-provided measurements to the baffles using a sharpie, ruler, straight-edge, and carpenter's square. Once marked, I'll cut off the excess baffle material for a better fit. Eventually, I will add baffle seal, a flat, thick, rubber strip, around the top circumference of the baffle to ensure a tight fit against the top engine cowl
