Cleaned up and painted the engine mount. Began by sanding down the entire surface with 120 grit sandpaper until the entire mount was shiny silver colored. Next, I cleaned off any remaining protectorant oil and sanding residue using a rag and naptha until the mount was dust and oil free. Lastly I hung the mount in my paint stall (from the lower branches of a dogwood tree) and applied 3 coats of high temperature (1,200 degree) paint. I'm pleased with the final results.
