Brief Description:  Canopy Frame Updrill

Spent the morning cleaning up and updrilling all the canopy frame pieces (2 x rear canopy frame, front canopy frame, 2 x side canopy frames) in preparation for fitting the canopy bubble.

I then cut off the aft 290mm of the canopy bubble as the first step in the instructions for fitting the bubble to the canopy frame pieces by using my dremel with a cutoff wheel. I took my time for this first cut as I got a feel for what I'd be doing for the next several days. The dremel did a good job of cutting through the acrylic, but even the small piece I removed seemed to be a challenge for the small tool as it became quite warm requiring many pauses to let it cool off. Today I'm going to shop around for a good angle grinder.

Later in the day, my daughter helped me carry the bubble out of the basement and set it in position on the fuselage. As expected, I have a good amount of trimming to do, but I'm very pleased with how well it does fit out of the box.
