Brief Description:  Canopy Frame Start

Began the (major) task of installing the canopy this morning. Actually, the first task was the canopy latch system which is already complete. Today I started on the canopy frame - which is a lot harder. This involves positioning 2 rear canopy frames together in the vicinity of the upper seat back - one on top of the fuselage longeron doubler (fixed in that position) on both sides and the other on top of the aft end of both canopy side frames (which rotate up to open the canopy). The rearward most rear canopy frame (the one attached to the longeron doubler) rests on the apex of a welded roll bar assembly attached about 460mm aft of the canopy side frames. Today was an initial fitting to see if anything needs additional bending/stretching. Tomorrow, after some more measuring, I begin cutting the frame parts to size.
