Brief Description:  Landing Gear Complete

Received a replacement front axle yesterday which was the last thing I needed to finish off the landing gear.

After test fitting the new axle and marking the cotter hole locations, I diassembled the nosewheel, drilled out the two cotter holes, packed the front bearings with grease and reassembled the wheel onto the front fork.

Next, I stepped down my adjustable sawhorses until all three gear were on the ground and rolled the bird out onto the driveway for her first taste of sunshine. Actually, I needed to push it out of the garage to make enough room for me to install the cotter pin into the left main gear (which required a brief time back on a sawhorse to raise the left main off of the ground.

Naturally, I took the opportunity to sit inside for the first time - it felt good.
