Brief Description:  Begin Rear Top Skin Install

Began installation of the rear top skin by prepping the three bulkheads that support and shape the skin. First, each bulkhead requires a rivet line to be drilled out along the curved section. Next, each bulkhead had some unique requirement prior to fitting and installation. The rear bulkhead needed to be match drilled to the top panel of the horizontal tail frame. The middle bulkhead needed to have an upper elevator cable fairlead added to it. The forward bulkhead, which is also the aft wall of the baggage area, needed 2 diagonal L-angles installed to strengthen it. This bulkhead also needs a large angle attached to the front of it that supports the aft edge of the baggage floor across the fuselage, but I had already installed this previously.

With all three bulkheads prepped, I proceeded to attach them to the fuselage at the upper rear longeron. The rear bulkhead was easy as this was a part of the match drilling with the upper upper panel of the horizontal tail frame. The middle bulkhead, precisely 635mm in front of the rear bulkhead, is attached to the longerons via one rivet on each side (now just a cleco), The front bulkhead needs to rest precisely 880mm in front of the middle bulkhead (or 1515mm in front of the rear bulkhead) while matching up with the aft edge of the baggage floor. I guess I must have installed the baggage floor correctly, because it all fit!
