Brief Description:  Rudder Pedals, Brakes & Fairleads

Riveted the two forward rudder fairleads to the center spar. Fairleads are nylon/teflon devices designed to channel various control cables through the aircraft and keep those cables from rubbing on aircraft structure. The forward rudder fairleads channel the left and right rudder cables through the center spar and line them up to pass through the armrest area between the seats.

I also finished off the rudders and toe brakes by riveting the toe brake hinges and toe pedals to the rudder redals. I then bolted in the rudder pedals at the center bearing and bolted the brake cylinders to the cabin floor and the toe pedals. It's a simple and elegant system that keeps the toe pedal alignment (vertically) constant throughout the full range of rudder pedal deflection.
