Paired up with long-time friend and honorary member of the flight crew to tackle the job of drilling out the forward portion of the side skins. This is a tough one-person job because it requires significant pressure from the outside of the skin with a 2 x 4 to curve the skin around the bottom of the fuselage while simultaneously match-drilling from the inside down by the floor of the cabin. Working together as a team we pounded our way through the task, then split up with separate drills to finish up some up-drilling tasks in order to free up some pilot hole-sized clecos - something I seem to be in short supply of.
Guest helper Robi. Definitely a working member of the Bad Clown flight crew!
Forward side skins drilled out and clamped to fit the curvature of the fuselage.
