Brief Description:  Gear Upright Gusset & Wing Uprights

Performed 3 tasks today, in addition to correctly placing the gear channel forward flange ON TOP of the cabin floor rather than under it. That was a fun 30 minute exercise.

First, I finished up the gear uprights installation by attaching a gusset to each of the 4 intersections between the uprights and the upper longeron. In addition to stabilizing the skin a little bit, these uprights help maintain the upper longerons at their intended height.

Once the cabin floor/gear channel connection was correct, I installed 2 floor gussets that connect the forward flange of the gear channel to the aft flange of the main wing spar at both outboard edges along the lower forward longeron. This piece has a secondary role of forming the corner between the bottom (cabin) skin and the fuselage side skin in this small stretch of construction. With this peice in place, the fuselage has pickep up a significant amount of rigidity.

Lastly, I installed the right side wing uprights. These four substantially thick extrusions connect to the center spar then lock in the spar angle by attaching to the fuselage skin with a couple of dense rivet lines. I'll install the left ones tomorrow.
