Brief Description:  Gear Mount, Rear Frame Channel, Seat Support

Took care of a bunch of cats and dogs this morning from several places in the plans.

First up was the Main Gear Attachments which are a couple of really beefy pieces of steel that form brackets for the four 1/2" bolts (two per side) used to hold the main gear against the fuselage. Today's task was to set a rivet line into a horizontal flange of the gear attachment that then fits inside of the already assembled gear channel which runs underneath the seats. This steel bracket (Image 1) will eventually fit against the side skin and bolt through it to several internal braces once those are installed.

Next up was the rear frame channel. This piece's primary purpose is to anchor the rear channel (aft spar) of each wing. This is another beefy part which is now pilot hole-drilled to the bottom skin and rear lower longerons. Attached to this frame are the two rear wing channel attach plates which are formed from 0.125" aluminum (1/8") and riveted to the rear frame channel with 11 rivets. Other functions for this piece include mounting points for the flap actuator rod and fairlead attachments for the rudder cables and the upper elevator cable. Eventually, this piece will be further reinforced with L-angles and other strengthening channels.

Last up was the upper seat support. This piece performs a few key functions like: The upper brace for the seat backs, the upper support for the baggage floor behind the seats, and the cross brace that sets the cabin width dimension. This piece took a bit of modifying in order to have it tuck up snugly against the underside of the top longeron and fit flush against its reinforcing gusset.
