Brief Description: Finish Left Rear Skin Fit, Start Rear Top Panel
Yesterday it was 2 degrees here when I woke up, so I didn't even glance at the garage. Today it was a balmy 9 degrees - time to get back to work! (But not for too long!)
Today I finished off fabricating, fitting and pilot drilling the last of the diagonal braces for the left rear side skin. After that I measured, marked, and cut all the pieces that comprise the aft top of the rear fuselage (where the upper rudder hinge will reside as well as the horizontal tail). All the peices have been test fitted and the rivet lines have been drawn on them. Tomorrow, temperature-permitting, I will square up the fuselage using my new christmas present: A self-leveling, cross-line laser level then drill everything out.
Side skins all braced up and attached to the bottom skin now.
