Brief Description: Finish Bottom Cross Braces, Begin Rudder Hinge
Finished off all the cross braces by joggling the front frame of the access door and the 2 cross braces toward the front of the bottom rear skin. I also measured, cut, match drilled and clecoed the two access door side z-angles.
Started on the lower rudder hinge which included: 1. Fashioning ad installing a shim to fit between the two rear longerons in the back. 2. Fashioning and installing a shim that fits across the top of the rear horizontal tail frame L-angle. 3. Match drilling the top portion of the lower hinge to the 2 shims and L angle.
Next up - installing the bottom part of the lower hinge.
All cross braces and access door frame joggled and fit.
Lower ruder hinge assembly with 4 of the 5 layers drilled out.
Lower rudder hinge assembly from below - just the bottom layer remaining.
