Brief Description:  Right Wing Final Assembly

I took advantage of unseasonably warm weather to do some repair on the right wing tip. The wing tips are fiberglass and this one had a bubble running just under the top edge of the wing which was fragile and prone to chipping. I chipped out all the weakend areas of the upper edge, filed and sanded it, and cleaned it out with alchohol. I then puttied it up with SuperFil - a bondo-like product for aviation and marine applications. Once I applied it and shaped it close to where I wanted it, I set the wingtip to dry for a day or two before filing and sanding.

I then deburred, sanded and painted the wing spanwise stiffeners and riveted them to the top skin.

Lastly, I reattached the top skin, got out my trusty ratchet straps, and cranked down the nose skin and attached it on top of the leading edge of the top skin. Final assembly mostly complete.
