Brief Description: Right Wing Tank Final Installation
Brought the finished (and leak-checked) fuel tank up from the basement for final assembly into the wing. The fit remains just right and the extra cork I added makes the fit seem even more glove-like. I fuel-lubed the fittings one last time then threaded both fuel hoses (feed and return) through the nylon-grommeted holes in nose ribs #2 and #1. I then pushed both hoses over their respective fittings and clamped them in place.
I crimped terminals to all the wire ends (ring tongue and tab as required) and then attached them:
1. From the wing tank grounding tab to the wing skeleton (ground). 2. From a fuel sender screw to the wing skeleton (ground). 3. From the fuel sender tab through a nylon-grommeted channel through nose ribs #2 and #1 eventually leading to the fuel quantity indicator.
