Brief Description: Wing Locker Fasteners, Flap Gap Stop
Finished off the last 4 dzus fastener springs today. I then made "clips" for the dzus fasteners by cutting out rings from a discarded plastic milk carton. These clips keep the fasteners attached to the wing locker door when the fasteners aren't locked - hopefully preventing me from losing any. It seems like a cheap mod, but it's solid, inexpensive, and effective.
After finishing the wing locker door fasteners, I cut out an 1/8" thick piece of plastic bearing material that will rivet in to the aft channel and rear top skin. The purpose of this piece of nylon is to act as a stop for the flap to keep it from rubbing up against the rear channel. I was shooting for 6mm spacing - which I nailed.
