Brief Description: Skin Doubler Drill Out, Wing Locker Hinge
Finished drilling out the skin doubler which reinforces the top skin at the wing root.
Moved on to the wing locker door hinge. Placed the dzus fastener strips around the outboard and aft edges of the wing locker opening (the inboard dzus strip is already there as a part of the skin doubler) and fit the door into place and duct taped it in. Next, I transferred the hinge rivet line from the forward top skin onto the wing locker door. I then removed the door to drill out the hinge line then replaced it back over the opening and drilled through the wing locker door rivet line into the hinge. Easy-peasy.
Lastly, I checked the aft wall of the wing locker for fit ast it is riveted to the top and bottom skins of the wing. Turns out my measurements were good!
